RMH Central Flash has been released.

Although RMH (Retail Managment Hero) was already a significant improvement on Microsoft RMS, upgrading the Batch communications stack to Real-time communications, some customers with 50+ stores and high transaction volumes experienced communications bottlenecks during peak trading periods.

RMH recognised the need to move away from the traditional RESTful communications stack using a full SQL database for storing data, and implemented the 2-way communications protocol gRPC, implementing certificate-based Transport Level security, and a NoSQL database to store data packets.

This has significantly reduced:

  1. The communications overhead and latency, improving the performance of the real-time communications in bandwidth restricted environments.
  2. The loads on the traditional SQL databases, reducing the hardware requirements for the PC or server storing the RMH Central database.

Thank you RMH.
